『三度目のオノミチ』

この不思議なネーミングの講義の教授は写真家中島光行さん。

20年以上にわたり京都を拠点に、数多くの文化財、美術館の所蔵作品などの撮影を手掛けて来られました。

写真を通して、知る人ぞ知る寺院やお堂などを紹介している『三度目の京都』プロジェクトの発起人でもあり、この講義では、その活動の中で中島教授がこだわり続けられている「自分の視点」を大事にした写真を撮れるようになって頂くことを目標にしています。

また、中島教授は、京都で「Community Store TO SEE」というセレクトショップをされていて、そのホームページ上には、「世間の評価ではなく、価値を自分自身に問いかける」という言葉が書かれています。TO SEE を日本語に直すと「見立て」。技術や表現手法以上に「視点」にこだわって来られた中島教授のメッセージが込められています。

時代に流されない普遍的な風景の残る瀬戸内、尾道には今もそこに生きる人々の暮らしが街のベースにあるため、決して観光地として消費されることのない魅力が残されています。様々な写真やビジュアルイメージが溢れた時代だからこそ、世間の評価に流されない「自分の視点」と向き合って見ませんか？
